This is a link post HDR (High dynamic range) photoshoppery
Sorry if this glasses your cocks but I just found this flickr group.
If you haven't heard of HDR as I hadn't, it's a technique which, through photographs of a range of exposures between light and dark areas of a scene, can create a middle image, or equalized, from two distinct images. The result is a picture that has a wide range of exposure and reveals every detail from both images.

This is a normal post Very nice
you've used HDR for what HDR is supposed to be used for (compositing bracketed exposures of the same scene because one exposure cannot capture the entire dynamic range of the scene) instead of using it to produce images with bonkers colours that don't exist in nature

This is a normal post This is my take on what HDR is
the blending of 2 or more exposures to make up for the fact that a cameras dynamic range is far less than that of the human eye. I don't mind stylised HDR but the above photo proves that HDR doesn't have to be overdone.

This is a normal post some very odd colours in that one, me likey
to some they are a bit of a cliche, HDRi is a very popular way of enhancing images, with a bit of a grunge effect being quite popular. My personal preference is to a more natural appearance, but the one you picked is good too. It certainly can be very effective at increasing the range of exposure, aka dynamic range (hence the name). Allowing darker shadows and brighter highlights to be shown without just being black/white

I haven't really got around to trying this sort of thing out. Can you pull it off in Photoshop without such software as Photomatrix?
