Point 1: They're hardly dressed sluttily - jeans and cardigans?
Point 2: The idea behind the walk is to raise awareness that no means no, and that women who wear provocative clothes are NOT sluts. So how do they try to achieve this? By painting the word "SLUT" on their bodies.
Am I missing the point completely in this or is it all as bollocks as I think it is?

The very idea that some prick reckons the way a woman, or man for that matter, is dressed somehow reflects on their sexual availability is laughable at best, and as such should be treated only with derision and not as some kind of piss-weak global feminist drum workshop opportunity.

that neither men nor women dress in a revealing manner in order to show off their bodies and attract the attention of the opposite (or same, if that's your thing) sex?

it's undeniable that fashion/body decoration/plumage is used throughout nature to attract the opposite sex. But in most species that is merely to gain attention before the start of mating rituals; like elaborate dances in birds, neck rubbing in giraffes or "asking someone out" in humans.
sexy clothes are sexy clothes, they aren't "shove it in any hole now" signs. But with wining and dining you could be lucky.

...in geordieland the mating ritual is "can ah stick me nob in yer gob in the bog, pet".
I agree with you, was just trying to clarify.

And anyone who thinks otherwise is a laughable prick.

The other woman is an idiot.
The only way it would be a politically worthwhile march would be if they held it in Iran.

why are they not talking about oppression of women in what they choose to wear?

Most of them wouldn't even get raped. Ugly fuckers. Maybe it's just a double bluff to get some action.

surely there is some form of misrepresentation of trade offence going on?

You can't just call yourself a slut. It's a title you should EARN.
( , Sun 12 Jun 2011, 16:51, Reply)

The point is something like this.
Your point 2 is wrong - it is slutty to wear slutty clothes. But slutty clothes is NEVER provocative.
Provocative means provoking rape. Nothing a girl can wear, (or nothing) can provoke rape. It may make them look like prostitutes and get less ahead in job interviews but it should have nothing to do with being sexually assaulted.
Even sluts do not deserve to be raped.
If I dress like a slut, it should not mean that I brought it upon myself by being raped.
