Yes, but...
I don't like the prurient attitude of the Daily Mail et al who can't wait to revel in the salacious details of potential man-on-man action. And yes, if founded, then he's a MASSIVE hypocrite and hugely took advantage of his position. But at the moment the allegations are unfounded.... and as I say, they've been there from the very beginning.

I couldn't give a chuff what he does with his old-chap ...
... but when asked if werrity had profitted from their dealings his reply was more opaque than a really really opaque thing. I believe also he denied having met any foreign dignitaries with werrity - right up until a video emerged of them both meeting the Sri Lankan president.

Personally I don't give a shit
As long as he can proove neither he or his mates made anything due to the dodgy meetings then let him sort his own life out.
I get the feeling the press smell blood so it will be interesting to see how it pans out. I'm also taking bets that if he does go he ends up as a non exec for a defence contractor within 18 months. Thats how it worked in the good old days.

But if hiding something/anything about their private life causes them to do things that are unethical or put them in dodgy situations, then they should rightly be exposed.
General innuendo about someone's sex life is a different matter and just seedy. I thought the stuff with William Hague last year was particulary sordid on the part of the press.
