I really hate scorpions
and they give me the creeps, but there is no need for this. I went to the Donghaumen Night market in Beijing and they had skewers with live scorpions impaled on them waiting to be grilled. It was horrible.
I know it's a pathetic English thing but I am pathetic and English, so I think it's ok.

Ok i can only speak for myself, I retract the rest of what I said. But I fail to see how your assumption about hypocrisy is any less an assumption. I'm just saying don't apply the standards of your own black and wizened soul to everyone else. What grounds would anyone have to object if they went around causing intentional suffering to insects all the time?
Personally i don't do it and havent since i was about 4 and had enough emotional maturity to empathise. So if I did object i certainly wouldn't be hypocritical. As it happens i dont give a fuck who or what you or the gentlemen in the video choose to kill needlessly. Knock yourselves out.

I would underline unnecessary. I have no issues with killing stuff as humanely as possible for food or territory. Minor annoyance, a whim, or because the Internet wants to see just isn't a good enough reason for me thats all.
Like i said I'm not trying to moralise or persuade here. Just saying if i found this video offensive it wouldn't be hypocritical.
