The 'real-politik' part of me understands but the amount of blood spilled there by the people and soldiers makes it rediculous.

I feel, the education minister is extremely misguided, He should look to Cambodia to see how unity is achieved. They've faced their country's past head on, and now live with a surprisingly peaceful society, considering the troops of the Khmer Rouge are everywhere.
