Another huge Le Mans crash
The second of the three Audis to have a huge smash in this race, this time at literally the fastest part of the circuit. Remarkably the driver (Mike Rockenfeller) walked away.

I think its a cultural thing
They just don't red flag Le Mans. The most extreme example of this was the 1955 disaster, which was dealt with under yellow flags.
Thing is its not organised by FIA, it is organised by ACO (Automobile Club de l'Ouest) and they operate their own rules.

As a rule
they'll only red flag the race if it's raining a monsoon, if the track is completely blocked, or for fog. Otherwise, if you give the teams a two hour break it's not really endurance racing.
