but calling replicating the findings of another scientist in moths in butterflies 'ground breaking' seems a bit hyperbolic. They are quite closely related and go through the same metamorphosis

just finished kingsolver's flight behaviour, funnily enough, which is, among other things, about the inherited memory (well established) of Mariposas or Monarch butterflies, and the impact of climate change on their migratory behaviour.
