You may be right. I've not really bothered finding out about her.
She falls into the "clearly very good at what she does and is very successful but not my thing" category.

She's clearly very good at what she does in the respect that she's insanely popular.
But the little I've heard sounded like fucking bollocks to me. I hate that croaky 'sultry' trademark voice of hers. The fake veganism thing is a massive turn-off, too. There's a British singer/songwriter/producer by the name of Ellie Dixon who produced all her own material before getting signed and appears vastly more talented, in my opinion.

Yeah, there's a bunch of artists out there who songs are better as covers
I've got that Dub Side of the Moon reggae album - always found Pink Floyd somehow grating, but it really works when it's a compilation of covers.
