This is a normal post I hope there's a back story revealing how he accidentally chopped his bollocks off with it owing to it's feckless impracticality as a weapon.
And now he wields it out of some kind of Sith penance.

This is a normal post I demand you forward this brilliant insight to Abrams immediately
for urgent inclusion into this film - there is still time

This is a normal post he's a Sith Inquisitor
starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Sith_Inquisitor
" Sith Inquisitors often utilized much more esoteric and customized models of such armament, especially in contrast to the more technical and pragmatic weapons favored by Sith Warriors, "

I really don't know what the fuss is about.

This is a normal post it's bollocks anyway, the light blade will cut straight through the casing of the handle
the only way this cross guard would work is if the light ran all the way into the corners

This is a normal post Just don't let the blade of your enemy hit that bit. Lock their blade between your main blade and cross guard, and shove them away.
Don't you remember anything from your training?

This is a normal post You could just cut any lightsaber blade off at the hilt, though.
If you really wanted to.
(, Wed 3 Dec 2014, 11:28, Reply)
This is a normal post my point being, if the blue blade slides up the red one, rather than settling against the cross blade it'll just cut it off
therefore pointless
(, Wed 3 Dec 2014, 11:31, Reply)
This is a normal post Lightaber blades don't slide against each other, though...
They lock.

Anyway, the force doesn't work either. It's a load of old bollocks.
(, Wed 3 Dec 2014, 11:51, Reply)
This is a normal post 1. lock lightsaber blades.
2. shoot opponent with gun held in other hand.

This is a normal post don't agree with what i about to say
but argument against this....

This is a normal post I see no problem with the cross guard which isn't inherent in the rest of the saber design.
There's a risk of finger loss, but the three foot beam of crackling electric death above it is also a potential health and safety hazard.

You just have to be careful, be sensible and read the instructions.

This is a normal post The cross guard just should be angled.
Ii present form it's useless at parrying too.
(, Wed 3 Dec 2014, 11:39, Reply)
This is a normal post I put it to you that there is no risk of finger loss because it isn't real and they just wanted to make a cool looking light saber.
