This is a link post Lamb boning machine.
I tried to find a picture of a dog boning machine for b3ta, but this was the closest I came up with.
(Contains lamb carcasses being disassembled in a factory setting.

The video is quite fascinating indeed. Not a job I'd like as a 9-5 though

This is a normal post As a recovered vegetarian, meat lover and fan of CNC machines,
this is very impressive.

If I was a sheep however, that video would make me think that Auschwitz wasn't all that bad, considering...

This is a normal post fascinating
it's amazing how well the operation seems to cope with what must be a fair bit of variability in size. the stuff at 5 minutes looks pretty fiddly and i found it disturbingly easy to imagine myself in themachine having the base of my spine cut away. :D

This is a normal post If you look early in the video
You see 'Warning X-ray' - this is a CT scan - like you get in hospital, although probably higher dose as subsequent cancer isn't really so much of an issue.
Slightly after that, the robot picks up a halved carcass, and then moves it through a red beam, before backing off, rotating 90 degrees and repeating.
This is to build up a 3d model of the outside using a vision system pointed at that beam.
