The theme is actually by John Baker, another member of the Radiophonic Workshop.

Do you have a reference for that?
I've seen DD credited with writing the theme before, but it's not in her credits list on allmusic.com.

The track is called Factors.
It appears on this compilation, first released in 1968 and re-released several times since.

Very wooden acting, but the "action scene" at 21:30 is worth a giggle - it proper put the willies up me when I was a nipper!

does anyone remember the "friday film specials"? in the UK. it was like a televiisual treat, probably 1989 or so but the films were of the 70s. total shit but "special" lol
