So do I. The one time I regretted it was when I was flying in a turboprop, and the window was directly in the plane of the propeller. I know they're supposed to be safe and so on, but seeing that thing whipping around at thousands of RPM, that close to my head was pretty unsettling.

Still flying though
Basically, with out the engines, a plane is just a heavy glider. As long as your wings are still on, you're going to be fine.
I remember being a passenger in a teeny little plane with a mate who was just putting in a few hours to keep his licence. Seeing all the bits and bobs working, and watching the props basically stop turning when you want to descend and land - that all made me much more comfortable about flying. I like to see how thing work.
