This is a normal post Undoubtedly the council have been appalling
But the sense of entitlement is staggering. Has he not worked for four years? What about the mum? Why would you even think of having another child while in this position? How did they have a child? Homeless maybe but they aren't in cardboard boxes however why turn down offers of temporary accommodation in the meantime? Will they payback their rich relatives with the compo money?

This is a normal post In the full version in today or yesterdays' Metro it pointed out that both parents work.
One's a teacher iirc. As for 'sense of entitlement', well, if you were forced to move from your council house, by the council, so they could demolish it and sell the land to property developers, wouldn't you feel that the council should then make a little bit of an effort to re-house you? Rather than just shuffling you between hotels and telling you that they're going to trash all the furniture and that that you've had to keep in storage?
As for 'how did they have another child?', well, I'm just guessing here, but some married couples do still enjoy marital relationships you know.

This is a normal post Although I do deduct points from them for naming one of their kids 'Lolita'.
I mean, holy fucking shit, surely that's just asking for trouble?

This is a normal post When I said 'how did they have another child'
I meant in a shared hotel room with two other children?

I did say that the council was appalling but they did make efforts to temporarily rehouse and they turned them down. Also, if they are working then why could they not have gone out and found a place to rent? Sense of entitlement

This is a normal post 1st: Haven't you ever had kids? "Kids here's some money, fuck off to the pictures, or the pub or summat."
2nd: Tried renting near to your place of work if you work in a city centre recently?

This is a normal post But it's NOT a sense of entitlement when it's your actual rights.
Council moved them out for it's benefit (Note: they weren't a 'problem family' they weren't in arrears on their rent, they were, in fact, pretty much perfect tenants). The council then failed in it's LEGALLY CONTRACTED duty to rehouse them. Then the council fucked them over again by threatening them with the destruction of their property.
Lack of common-sense in the naming of their kids notwithstanding, I'd say that these people have shown admirable fucking restraint in putting up with this shit from a council that prioritised non-paying 'asylum-seekers' and economic immigrants over long-term, actual tax-paying tenants for as long as they did.

Well, no they didn't. The family turned down rehousing (temporary housing counts as rehousing)
