he fesses up...
and I would like to offer a full and frank retraction of my earlier comments. I am a dumb twat. But hands up, I am honest and I admit my lack of comprehension of what was being said.
sorry, erm...

Meh. If he did say it, it's only because that's the way it was when he was a kid. I don't see any reason for him to apologise other than being forced into it by some HR cunt.
We had hundreds of rhymes like that, all of them as, if not more, offensive to the liberal bedwetting handwringing crybabies that seem to run things these days.
I'm sick of bullshit non-stories like this. And for the Daily Heil to have picked up on it and run it as yet another excuse to attack the beeb is frankly hypocritical in the extreme.

Why would anyone be surprised? This is Clarkson's M.O.
Push boundaries, irritate liberal sensibilities, shock, then use your media clout to get away with it while simultaneously enhancing your profile with your key demographic. He's just pushed it too far this time. The only question is: Is it going to be a slow enough news week that it will provide activist groups and politicians the space to pummel him.
These are the times when public figures hope for a nice distracting, headline grabbing disaster somewhere in the world.

See the end of the piece. It's the Reagan defense.
Clarkson: "Please be assured I did everything in my power to not use that word, as I'm sitting here begging your forgiveness for the fact my efforts obviously weren't quite good enough, thank you."
Reagan: "A few months ago I told the American people I did not trade arms for hostages. My heart and my best intentions still tell me that's true, but the facts and the evidence tell me it is not."

Or John Kerry:
I voted for the $87 Million before I voted against it.

It's no synchronicity.
Different words, but It's still a public relations crafted message that achieves the same purpose.

Oh come on! Oh well.
I hope we'll have a meeting of minds on something else some other day.

Urgh I wish he wasn't worth so much money to the BBC
Then he could finally go full Murdoch and fuck off to Sky so we might be able to get something new for that Sunday night slot instead of endless rehashes of the same, tired and costly concept.

"Racism is illegal and it has no place in modern society."
Curious exactly how it's Illegal (not being that familiar with UK law) and how that illegality relates to speech?
Oh, and what felixcoen said up there ^^ aka. Clarkson is a premeditated twat

I don't understand why everyone is being so anal about it if you look at that from his 'character's' point of view
the Clarkson character thrives of borderline remarks, controversy, and irritating liberals. At every moment of filming his head is probably bubbling away with remarks that will generate a headline and figures to watch his show about driving cars. I guess once in a while a word might slip out whilst the cameras are rolling not appropriate for broadcasting, that no one would have any intention of broadcasting, certainly not him. That's called an accident in my book.
If it was aired deliberately, however, i'm typing bollocks and he really is a genuine cunt, in which case ignore this. I don't really like the guy.
