Yeah heard that one, "you'll get body armour in theatre" or " those repairs to (showers, floors, wash house) will be completed by the time you get back from Ops!" or the classic "you don't need that much ammo, the government has decided the fighting is over" really? Have they visited planet earth lately???

A friend of mine was joining the army
we decided it would be easiest just just go on eBay and buy him his body armour rather than waiting for HM to provide anything decent.

Many, many others including stagging on in interesting places with er... ten rounds. Thanks. It'll be just like being on exercise when we had to shout "BANG!" when we ran out of rounds.

What I got from my 10 years in the army.......
You dont need it, we dont have it, you will get it. Im still bloody waiting. Anyone have the same problem? Example one TPG (tyre pressure gauge) for an entire unit. Shoe string budget? We dont have any shoestring. Gotta love it. :D
