This is a question Redundant technology

Music on vinyl records, mobile phones the size of house bricks and pornography printed on paper. What hideously out of date stuff do you still use?

Thanks to boozehound for the suggestion

Behave!
You do realise that this will probably start some tit for tat OS slanging match don't you? Oh well here goes, if my server hadn't died I would still be using Netware 4.11 (fucking bomb proof, unlike the hardware!)

I know number5
realised my mistake after posting, do you think I should delete this? Last thing I wanted to do was start a discussion about the best OS.......zzzzzzzzzzz

I fear bROKEN aRROW that...
Too late too late will be the cry
As MS, Mac and Unix diehards pass us by
Berating those who choose to veer
From the 'best OS' by costly fear
And woe betide a balanced mind
That merely seeks to try to find
Platforms for seeing web based porn
Instead of fearing others' scorn.

Haha!!
Classy answer! With a tiny bit of editing this would be well recieved on the main board...I clicked it.

Thanks very much
I doubt my fragile ego could take the inevitable abuse and accusations of wankerism* though.

* May not actually be a real word.

Nothing wrong with XP
Our whole office runs on it.

(still trying to get Win7 to work without constantly asking for permission to wipe its arse)

XP's OK...
I have a MacBook (but I'm not really a nerdy fanboy).
I run Windows XP under VMFusion for a few Windows-only work related programs and several others that I can't get for the Mac. I reckon XP was one the best versions of Windows.

Yes.
Not been bettered yet in Windows terms.

Most PC-using musicians
would agree with you. Some are moving to Windows 7 now it's been proven, but the majority still run XP.

I have an XP partition on my Mac, so I can boot into Windows on the odd occasion that it's necessary, and I have no intention of upgrading it to Vista or 7.

I thought music folk
still used Atari STs? Or am I thinking of 1992?
(, Fri 5 Nov 2010, 13:21, closed)
Hehe ^this^
...but are there many PC-using musicians? I thought Apple was the hardware provider of choice for most 'serious' musical stuff.

Could be worse. Could be Vista.
