This is a question This book changed my life

The Goat writes, "Some books have made a huge impact on my life." It's true. It wasn't until the b3ta mods read the Flashman novels that we changed from mild-mannered computer operators into heavily-whiskered copulators, poltroons and all round bastards in a well-known cavalry regiment.

What books have changed the way you think, the way you live, or just gave you a rollicking good time?

Friendly hint: A bit of background rather than just a bunch of book titles would make your stories more readable

Alan Carr (no not that one)
Alan Carr's Easy Way to Stop Smoking.

I don't smoke, but my wife did and 7 years ago she read the book cover to cover, put out her last fag and hasn't smoked since.

I don't even know where to start on how much that changed my life.

I found this book useful too
I'd already stopped smoking by the time I read the book, but I found some good tips on how to make this permanent rather than my then usual path of slipping back into it.

Just bought this
from amazon based on your and several other peoples opinions that i've heard mentioned on here. Previously i wouldn't have bothered as i'm a bit skeptical about this sort of thing but it's only the cost of a couple of packs of fags so hopefully it will help.

Oh, it's a real book.
I spent a while looking for the joke what with the reference to fags and that.

Also same for me but it didn't work straight away
I read and the logic of his words kept flying round in my head for a year and eventually I just stopped - it's been seven weeks now with only one slip on a night out.

This book was really intresting
But it didn’t make me want to stop smoking. Although that could have my frame of mind instead of the book,
would recommend it to people even if they didn’t smoke just for a good read.
