This book changed my life
The Goat writes, "Some books have made a huge impact on my life." It's true. It wasn't until the b3ta mods read the Flashman novels that we changed from mild-mannered computer operators into heavily-whiskered copulators, poltroons and all round bastards in a well-known cavalry regiment.
What books have changed the way you think, the way you live, or just gave you a rollicking good time?
Friendly hint: A bit of background rather than just a bunch of book titles would make your stories more readable

Reading gives me a headache
I tend to read the same line over and over and I really don't get an idea of whats going on...
Don't get me wrong, i'm not thick, I just having trouble reading lots of words :(
Is this a medical condition or am I just weird?

Just a tip...
Don't try this with Tolkein. The guy writes twenty-seven pages describing a fucking ROCK. You'd never get past the first chapter.

Joking aside
You might be mildly Dyslexic. Does placing a piece of paper under the line you are reading, only moving it down once you have finished the line help at all?

Try cutting a small one word sized window
out of a piece of thick paper or card. Lay that over the text and you will only see one word at a time. When you speed up you can cut a larger hole, until eventually you only need a bookmark to underline the current line of text you're reading.

that sounds like a good idea, I shall try this, Thank you
...i've only ever read one proper (aka not childrens book) book all the way though - Alien 3, probably because I knew most of the plot from the film but hey! (took ages too!)
