This is a question Brain Fade

Freddie Woo tells us how he recently spent ages trying to open his front door with his Oyster Card before realising he actually needed things called "keys". Tell us of times you've done stupid things while on auto-pilot

I wanted an M6 thread
I used a 6MM drill bit.

Arse.

Neither of those sounds like something I'd want in my arse end.
Have you considered just eating more fibre?

There's still time to turn this into an M6 thread. My favourite bit is spaghetti junction. What's yours?

Junction 10 is Wolverhampton isn't it?
Can't imagine why anyone would choose that as their favourite junction.

Mostly nostalgia
Though I quite like J7 too

Junction 40: Penrith
I used to travel from Leeds to Glasgow and back in the same day. I would take the route:

A1 - A66 - M6 - A74

On the way home I would always stop in Penrith town centre for my lunch.

I did this in my metalwork O Level

Major facepalm moment, and no time to fix it.

Still got a B, though.

Once got a 1 1/4" BSP bottoming tap jammed in a 316 stainless coupler that was painstakingly welded onto a large chemical reactor vessel by a very moody fitter.
Completely forgot to use some trefolex. The thread edges on the taps flutes were blunt and the couplers threads were heat warped so they pricked up, wedged the tap in situ half way through and I had to grind the bastard lot off and deliver some bad news to the fitter.
