No learnings. You can't just put "ing" on the end of a verb and expect it to be a noun. You're asking for some headbuttings.

Erm... yes you can!
You can't always assume that there will be a plural available, and there may be more elegant alternatives, but - yes, you can. 'Here is my song for the asking' for example.
