My housematealso does this. She does laugh - very loudly in fact, yet she also says lol.
So you quite often get "hah hah! Lol".
You have just laughed out loud. Why are you now telling us that you have laughed?

I would be tempted to smack her every timeVery, very tempted. 'LOL' in all its forms irritates me so much, and that would no doubt send me over the edge in about a day.
