"Action" is NOT a verb.
I will quite happily do something or, sometimes, get something done. I will not action something.
Say it again and I may action a punch to your face.

I once got an email from a senior manager at a major (multinational) financial services company I worked for asking me to 'actionize' something.
Anyone else would have received a lump of digital wrath in the form of an email. As it was I just did whatever menial task I was supposed to do.
