turns 'tour' into a two-syllable word, 'too-er'. But I kinda like it, so this post negates the point of the QOTW.

The /ʊə/ diphthong is pretty much dead in most UK dialects of English now, though Scottish people still use it. They also retain the "h" in words like "Where" and "When".
