One of my colleagues pronounces theatre as "thee-AT-er"
Annoyingly, she spends a lot of time training Operating Theatre staff, so I get to hear this quite a lot.
And every time, it makes me want to tear my own skin off O_o

I've been annoyed by this in the past
by someone pronouncing it thee-ET-er, and after interrogating them, I found that they couldn't hear the difference between the way they said it and the way everyone else says it.
