Oh yes, indeed..
I have to listen to management toss all the time.
I put that very question to my boss - "Why not say 'in the future' instead of 'going forward'?"
I have yet to receive a response. He looked at me like a landed fish when I mentioned it.
I'm sure there are Clockwork Orange-style brainwashing campaigns conducted against management staff, that would explain why they all seem to use the same stock phrases, that mean precisely fuck-all.
