Eurgh......it's such a nasty, mimsy little word that it makes my flesh crawl. The only time you really hear it used is in advertising and by pervy blokes explaining what they'd like to do to you, neither of which have helped the reputation of the word.
I prefer 'pants' for big pants, or 'squirrel-guard' for a thong.
