These are probably covered already...
...but I am unfortunate to know a grown man in his 40's who can neither spell nor speak; 'Aks' for 'Ask', 'Pacific' for 'Specific' etc. I find it very annoying indeed.

The amount of times
I've pointed out how irate I get when someone says pacific when they mean specific, only for the person I've said it to to later make that exact error as a matter of course every single day astounds me.

and you're not alone in finding it annoying. I'm unfortunately prejudiced against such people, as the moment I hear them say it, I immediately mark them down as being fucking stupid.
