jalapenosI get annoyed by the ignorant mispronunciation of the following words that are oft used by middle class slightly alternative types:
Guh-raana (Guarana is pronounced the logical way, you pretentious tea and coffee dodgers - Guaar-an-aar)
Quin-noah (Quinoa is a Latin American crop, so why the hell would it be pronounced like that? it is Keen-wah.)
If you can't say it, don't show off by eating or drinking it, (and certainly don't go to Lan-Gollen or Betsy Co Ed for the weekend, or I really will seethe).
