But "miss" is sexist.
Apart from the fact that the male equivalent is "Mr." you also have to take into account that some women find "Miss" to be unnaceptable and demand "Ms".
Heck, don't even get me started on man/boy woman/girl/lady and the other bullshit that makes talking to a woman fraught with problems.
