walmart's mom
One of the weirdest uses of "Mom" I've seen as a non-proper (yet somehow still capitalized) noun is in my Walmart training materials at work. They talk all the time about how they want to "make it easy for Mom to find our bargains" and "help Mom decide what she needs" and, even that "Mom will love what we have to offer." It's so casual, yet so creepy.
