He's right.
It was because 'everyone knows a Dave'.

You may complain but it has been a very succesful re-launch (formally UKTVG2). Everyone has heard of and knows the channel which is exactly what they were after and is becoming a brand name itself like BBC or ITV.

that it was named that just to work in the pun they stole from Alan Davies about his friend Dave who kept repeating himself. "They call me Dave ja vu, Dave ja vu."
