Wholeheartedly concur.You don't see too many musicians on the jazz circuit whose every move screams "PAAAAAAAY SOME ATTENTION TO MEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!".
I've heard Christina Aguilera sing some lounge-style stuff as well; she has a seriously decent voice, completely wasted on the stuff she does normally.
