This is a question Common

Freddy Woo writes, "My wife thinks calling the front room a lounge is common. Worse, a friend of hers recently admonished her daughter for calling a toilet, a toilet. Lavatory darling. It's lavatory."

My own mother refused to let me use the word 'oblong' instead of 'rectangle'. Which is just odd, to be honest.

What stuff do you think is common?

does that mean that you say ear and bear the same then?
or cough, plough, though, through, thought, dough and enough?
Stop being an absolute penis and be aware that there's more than one accent in English, and the closest you'll get to a "correct" on is RP (or Queen's English) which, yes, says barth and parth, but mAths as well.

The only people who drop the s off maths are common as fuck.

I'm only pretending to be posh
It was a sarcastic post that bombed.

I have one of the worst accents in the country for stuff like this - Chesterfield. We miss half the letters in words out when speaking.

Turtle, I think he was snapping at Triley, not you.

Make sure to wash your arse in the barth.
