Common
Freddy Woo writes, "My wife thinks calling the front room a lounge is common. Worse, a friend of hers recently admonished her daughter for calling a toilet, a toilet. Lavatory darling. It's lavatory."
My own mother refused to let me use the word 'oblong' instead of 'rectangle'. Which is just odd, to be honest.
What stuff do you think is common?

I cannot tolerate Staffies or their owners.
They have no purpose.
They're not working dogs, they're working-class dogs...... actually, that's not quite true. How can the owners be working-class when they're on the dole?
*expecting flames from aggressive staff owners*

My parents own one
Lovely friendly temperament, that's all that matters. They don't care that it's "common".

Thought that might rattle a few cages...
Very nice dogs I'm told, but it's not the dogs so much as it is the people that own them. There may of course be exceptions, I live to be suprised though I rarely am
