This is a question Common

Freddy Woo writes, "My wife thinks calling the front room a lounge is common. Worse, a friend of hers recently admonished her daughter for calling a toilet, a toilet. Lavatory darling. It's lavatory."

My own mother refused to let me use the word 'oblong' instead of 'rectangle'. Which is just odd, to be honest.

What stuff do you think is common?

ha! Bedminster.
North Bristol FTW. South of the river? I think not!

Oh look who it is
go on then, have another whinge about something :)

don't make me have to whinge about you
fuckface!

Besides, Bedminster is pretty crap (I blame the overabundance of students). I used to cycle through it on a regular basis and I could never quite cycle fast enough. Could be worse though. Could be Knowle.

well...
I spent years living in Henleaze and I'd rather be in Bedminster anyday. Far more personality and character to the area and the people and much friendlier.

yup
Henleaze is boring.

North Brizzle has its low points. I'm on the fringes of Stoke's Croft.

Stokes Crpft??
and you have the guts to say that south of the river is common???

Meh, anyway, Bristol isn't "common", it's just "laid back".

heh
- judging from what I've read since Thursday, I am common. However, the sooner Stoke's Croft gets demolished and redeveloped, the sooner my house price rises, so I'm not that common.
