You say 'I'm cool, I'm no fool' but then you wind up dropping out of high school'. It was Melle Mel who said that, I swear down. THE Melle Mel, that's right.
This week's question is all about your tragic attempts to be cool (pictures welcome), or perhaps times when you've witnessed another's misguided attempt to be a hep-cat daddio. Share the shame, it might make you feel better.

I managed to read a Martin Amis book long before I was 35
I didn't need a public school education to do it either

Did you discover Voltaire at 14? Dive into War and Peace when you were 19?
Seriously, this is pure gold

With his public school education and all the clever books he's read--which he'll happily tell you all about if you ask him--dozer's obviously the coolest.
I like Transformers and Warhammer 40K and zombies and that sort of stuff, which isn't cool at all, so I don't get to do the same kind of "cool" bragging and sneering that dozer does.
Not to mention that he signed up for a mortgage when he was 28, which just oozes coolness. At that age I was still living in and travelling across South America like some kind of square.
