This is a question Corporate Idiocy

Comedian Al Murray recounts a run-in with industrial-scale stupidity: "Car insurance company rang, without having sent me a renewal letter, asking for money. Made them answer security questions." In the same vein, tell us your stories about pointless paperwork and corporate quarter-wits

They took all our bins away.
I'm pretty sure that this was so they could "downsize" the cleaning staff. One more for the dole queue.

Us too
We're now all supposed to take our rubbish home from work. Which is quite illegal, because if it's generated at work it's commercial waste and should not be disposed with domestic waste.

buy a goat
cheaper than a cleaner and he can eat all the rubbish you generate

recycle the cans tho :-)

Urgh.
We are allowed one communal bin, per floor. Obviously, this results in rubbish piling up around the desks, until one of us decides to dump it in the bin. Far more efficient and sanitary than paying someone minimum wage to come by at the end of the day.
Of course, what with us having no lunch room, and the cleaners hoovering less than before, we've had to have Rentokill in a few times, instead.

They took all our bins away to make sure we used the new recycling bins.
There are two per area, each with a strange list of things that are and aren't allowed to be put in them. Apparently the waste is all audited to make sure that we're using them properly...

So where are you supposed to
throw your rubbish?

Why don't they also take away all the pens, as once they run out, they are an environmental issue. They should kill all the staff too, as they emit carbon dioxide, and generate waste products that need to be disposed of.

Don't think they wouldn't, if they thought there was a buck in it.

Much like Prof KM, above,
there's a selection of recycling bins, mostly down by the back door, but pretty much everything ends up in the "wet waste" bin in the kitchen.

So much for the environment.
