Fairgrounds, theme parks, circuses and carnivals
Tell us about the time the fairground came to town and you were sick in a hedge; or when you went to a theme park or circus and were sick in a hedge

Well, the road seemed endless as I drove down it
... whether I was on my own or with a few people. Still, we enjoyed ourselves at the fair along the way to where we were going.
There's something nice about hanging round with a few people. We should probably make up for lost time, like all good men. Still, we enjoyed ourselves at the fair along the way to where we were going.
And it's nice to think that you'll be there when I get home. Even if I know the ikea furniture we bought will be too difficult to construct. And it's also nice to think I can pretend we ARE capable of putting the ikea furniture together. There's a ray of light shining through something.
Etc. I hate Mick Hucknall.

Ah, paraphrased lyrics?
I'd usually be embarrased not knowing but if it's Hucknal I'm proud of my ignorance, which doesn't happen often.

The OP was also paraphrased lyrics, but not being as keen a fan of that particular group as the poster
...I had to figure that out from the Bigmouth reference later on. Presumably he was just grumpy because his girlfriend is in a coma, or something.
