Tyrannosaur - I'm a sucker for a good love story and it was all filmed near my gaff.

A documentary about the film critic Roger Ebert. I was expecting it to be pretty dull, but he was an interesting chap and it left me wanting to read more of his reviews. Not that I have read any more of his reviews since - a book of them remains on my unread pile.
"Two thumbs up" (fnar)

No poncy french nonsense, no underlying subtext of the human condition. Just a boy who travels through time and gets off with his Mum. Fucks sake.

Coherence, Sunshine and Solaris for examinations of the notions of self and destiny.
La Prochaine Fois Je Viserai le Cœur and Evil (Mikael Håfström) for the banality and suburban invisibility of human sadism.
The Wedding Singer for a shameless blast of 80s nostalgia and Drew Barrymore at her most adorable.
The Good, the Bad and the Ugly, because westerns don't get any better than this.

The film went largely unheralded here but it's the best performance from Jake Gyllenhall in yonks. A highly entertaining and sinister film that, along with Birdman, is the best thing I have seen this year.

It's a delicate and complex track which demonstrates Richard D James' two most compelling traits in his music: intricate polyrhythms and his near-classical approach to melody.

Mainly because a mate of mine plays a Russian paedophile who gets decapitated.
It's got Faye Tozer in it as well.

Great film with naff special effects (apparently nobody would finance it). More twists than a music industry contract. 10/10.

A bunch of blokes start banging on this bird and spunk all over her and that. I wanked twice while watching it. 4 out of 5.

1970 (filmed 1968), Mick Jagger, Anita Pallenberg and James Fox, and co-directed by Nicolas Roeg (of Walkabout, Don't Look Now etc) and Donald Cammell (of nothing much else). It's bizarre, thoroughly pretentious and trippy as fuck, but utterly brilliant. The cinematography is stunning (as you'd expect with Roeg), the soundtrack is brilliant (the bits without Jagger especially), and it's just one big mind-fuck.

I say watch all the films and make your own mind up

(that's not a film).
i liked "the imitation game" because i thought it was well done. worth watching.
also "insidious" purely because of the horror of the creepy little prick in the Victorian schoolboy outfit. to quote former b3tan devilintights, "fuck that nasty little cunt jumping out of cupboards. fuck him."
