It's not often I can be bothered to watch a film with subtitles, but this one wasn't spoilt by them, and may have lost some of its charm if I'd seen it dubbed.

Indeed, the dubbing is poor.
I think the poor dubbing ruins the atmosphere and turns it from a slightly dark comedy to a more farcical one.
