This is a question Stuff I've found

Freddy Woo writes, "My non-prostitute-killing, lorry driving uncle once came home with a wedding cake. Found it in a layby, scoffed the lot over several weeks."

What's the best thing you've found?

Marriage
I've found that marriage can ruin a relationship.

*signs away half of his house this coming Monday*

Going through similar myself
Not quite at that stage yet, but its definately over and the separation is official.

We tried having a conversation about the financials but got nowhere.

I fear a lengthy period of negotiation followed by loads of needless expense.

Good luck with it all

snap!
For the delight of my wife ending our relationship, her shagging some other fella in my house (seriously I paid the fucking lot!) and I now live with my parents I can now look forward to ME being the one having to divorce her at my own expense as she's got no money and is keeping the house.

I really need some legal advice.

Good luck! I think divorces are worth it.

A paid assassin would be cheaper.
Just saying.

:-)
She's going to Thailand next month.... a quarter ounce of the good stuff and letting the Thai authorities handle it would be even cheaper!

Plant.
I've considered this a few times to old house-mates, acquaintances etc..

tempting
certainly less than it'll cost me otherwise!

At least there is half of something
My ex and his family have things all nicely squirrelled away in his parents' names so I am entitled to a big fat nothing - no half of the house and no child support either.
Oh, and as I worked (unpaid) for his family when I left my job went too.

Bitter? Me?

Been there,
done that. And lost a damn sight more than half the house.

Been There
Aye it's rough, I had to shell out £20k back in 92, but at the end of the day if were 1/2 the folk we think we are then we win over the long run, (and yes I did win and have a little gloat whenever I can at the X's expense)......
