My GP
told me to try and join a gym at my appointment today, as I've got a bit of a tummy.
Or, as I would put it - I'm 29 weeks pregnant.
He blushed quite beautifully when I pointed this out...

well
it almost beats the GP I saw last time asking me if I was aware that I was pregnant - this was only 3 weeks ago... the baby kicking my bladder every 5 minutes or so was a bit of a giveaway!
I've suggested that they put 'PREGNANT' in my notes.

Is it just me or has the medical expertise in this country gone down somewhat in recent years? (assuming here that you're also from the jolly UK)
I was misdiagnosed as pregnant at the tender age of 13. Not having done any of the things required to get pregnant, I was more than a little confused. Turned out that I had a chest infection....
7 years on, I am now pregnant but my GP seems to forget this every time I visit him. Also whenever the nurse takes a blood sample she always has to twist the needle while it's in me and I always come away with a fair amount of bruising :/

And on an aside ...
did you read the tags to the right of that story 'Jacko's doctor donated sperm', 'Fifty Taliban wiped out'.
Presumably these are not related stories.

There was a girl at my school who couldn't tell them apart...
Needless to say, she was popular with the boys.
