Who were your heroes or villains of the last year, and why? Who inspired you? Who had you kicking the cat across the room? They don't have to be well known, you might even want to laud the achievements of your binman. (Note that "Nick Clegg nuff said" answers puts you straight onto our naughty list)

If for no other reason than how ballsy he has been in setting up his choirs, beating X-Factor to the number one single (without resorting to tracks that were shit when they were first released, let alone 15-20 years later, i.e. RATM & Nirvana), and just coming across on screen as an alright bloke.
/awaits inevitable shouting down.

If someone asks "If I give you this shiny penny, will you go somewhere incredibly dangerous where you'll be surrounded by people who want to kill you?" and you say "Yes", then ... really ... it's your own fault.
It's not like they were conscripted.

as a former 'member' of the armed forces -agreed
but its a bit mean spirited not to help them if they get bits blown off them isnt it?

but I'm still not sure that getting a sympathy record to no. 1 is much better than an X-factor pile of shite.
Used to be that the charts were based on music.

RATM have done some cracking tunes, but KITNO is not one of them. They should have released Sleep Now In The Fire, or Testify. Nirvana are simply proof that death is good for business.

what you're on about, which is most likely a pleasant side effect of not listening to chart radio.

As a result, my choice in the morning is between Radio 1 and Radio 2.
Radio 2, everytime. Chris Evans was promoting the song massively, so I'd end up hearing it most mornings.

My brother is forced to listen to Radio 2, at work, so I get to hear how shitty it is via text.
