This pompous lower upperclass rich git with little or no acting skills and boufant floppy hair was able to secretly "mic himself" and record the acne face hack Paul McMullen incriminating himself and others and that gave legs to the phone hacking story.

So Hugh Grant is one of my heroes for 2011- and I hate myself.

Yup.
I've never quite understood the fashionable hatred for Hugh Grant - I think he's rather likeable. Sure he's no Keanu Reeves, but he seems affable enough, and is clearly very bright.

That he's done this is superb - he comes across very well - very honest and straight up about it.

And besides, he got to shag Liz Hurley when she was fit - that's got to hold some merit.

Not being a Keanu Reeves
would be worthy of merit for that alone in my opinion. Reeves appears to be a face painted on a plank that's moved about by the hand of a talentless unseen puppeteer.

I learned today that to 'Hugh Grant' something is a verb now used by young people.
It refers to the bachelor lifestyle, as in, "You would Hugh Grant the shit out of it". Made me laugh.
