Willenium says: I had to bring some floppy disks into work which I had been saving for 10 years "in case I might need them". Tell us when your hoarding skills have come in useful (or not, as the case may be)

I've bought a couple of Lego sets over the last month or so as Christmas presents for mini TitanLX. He's 9 months old. I'm going to buy other sets when I see them on offer over the coming years till he's old enough to enjoy them. As long as he actually likes lego this should be a good plan.

got into a conversation about kids toys, he mentioned he had a collection of Lego. I asked to have a look and we went upstairs and he pulled two boxes out from under his bed. Jesuschrist!
Two fucking massive castles, a batman set, the Krusty Krab, Star wars, Indiana Jones, harry Potter and a shit load of Lego City.
Iv spent the whole week building Lego. I can't remember the last time I had so much fun! Its so exciting when you spend ages trying to find a specific piece and something gos together.

after a while standard lego starts to seem ridiculously small and pointless.

kill it.
Though it's not as good as it used to be. Whose bloody stupid idea was it to give lego men more than one face?

I have a huge collection of the stuff.
My son is 2 later this month. He's interested in it, but only goes as far as digging through a box of it and throwing it about.
Another year or two, and we'll be up to speed.

so that my future kids could play with it.
So far - they love it. Can't wait to get them going on the technical lego.
