It's pretty much a myth anyway.Enormous Doses of Thujone will cause seizures and death. Though it's now thought that the amounts found in absinthe even in pre-ban (1895–1910) bottles was insignificant. Halluicinations associated with high usage of absinthe are are thought to have been just the usual delerium tremens or alcoholic hallucinosis suffered by chronic alcoholics.

I've had supposedly "high thujone" stuff. Was also high in alcohol (around 70% I seem to recall) but I didn't notice any perculiar effects from either.
I'm of the opinion that the thujone was likely an insignificant event.
