This is a question Homemade Booze

SpanishFly writes, "I have a 'make your own absinthe' kit here, fucking terrified of making it...

"Tell us your stories of when you got so drunk on homemade mead you pissed in the cupboard.
Or tell us about the time you tried to buy wine stabiliser but got chased out of the friendly merchants shop because that compound is used to bash cocaine.
Tell us about the trials and tribulations of not being able to afford 4 cans of strongbow and couldn't brew your own poison so you got pissed on antifreeze and the next day pissed in your own mouth."
Thanks SpanishFly. MAKE THE ABSINTHE

To be honest, I have no idea what this thread is about.
What's a nitro keg? Does it have go-faster stripes?

can't say i'm a Brew Dog fan
there are much better beers out there for less money. Nothing Brew Dog makes is a patch on the Harvistoun stuff for example.

The Punk IPA is about the best but I can't say I am convinced. Plus I wonder how many decent new beers can actually be invented? Surely after all the time humanity has been brewing beer, all the good recipes have been found and new stuff is just things that brewers have previously rejected as not being all that great?

probably more to do with new hop varieties being created than recipe. aging, yeast strains, use of adjuncts, use of spice, fruit, seeds etc.
All playing a role. Next pensions and whisky.

excellent point and well made
at least the big brewers are getting some competition. Good selection in supermarkets these days too. Can't complain there.
