This is a question Hypocrisy

Overheard the other day: "I've told you before - stop swearing in front of the kids, for fuck's sake." Your tales of double standards please.

I had a French friend
who just couldn't get over custard. She had never had it, or heard of it before she came to England. She declared it to be the best foodstuff on the planet.

Also, I understand, the French just don't understand jelly. It's one of those things where a French child who is on an exchange will be terrified the host family will make them eat, just like the English and snails or frogs legs. When you think about it, it is rather gross. Boiled up pigs feet flavoured with fruit.

And french for custard is...
Crème anglaise. (English Cream)

As for Jelly... it is quintessentially English. However, during the middle ages, you know how they made green jelly? With the urine of a young boy.

Also, that Italian dessert, Tiramisù, is actually coffee flavoured trifle without the Jelly. Basically, because the Italians didn't know how to make jelly. And what is the name of the 'original' dessert in Italy that gave rise to Tiramisù?

Zuppa inglese. (English soup)

Seems
the Italians don't do soup either.
