This is a question Hypocrisy

Overheard the other day: "I've told you before - stop swearing in front of the kids, for fuck's sake." Your tales of double standards please.

Today's our tenth wedding anniversary.
The missus has been going on about how special it is and how rare and how we must make an extra-special effort to celebrate it.

Taking the hint, I went and splashed out on a sparkly diamond bracelet, flowers and dinner at an expensive restaurant, using the money I had been saving to buy myself a new flat-screen telly.

She presented me with a box of chocolates*.

* Admittedly, they were yummy and she let me have them all to myself, which is unusual.

My sympathies.
Mrs Hatred is occasionally prone to saying she has no money before either buying more shoes or another lovely but ultimately frangible item.

Did you spend all the telly cash or is it a recoverable setback?

I see it as an investment.
Hopefully I'll have ranked up enough brownie points out of this to get not only the telly but a new sound system as well.

A couple more months of low-def telly won't hurt.

That's the spirit,
Besides you might get a better pressie next time- this was my engagement gift;

I keep
promising myself i'm gonna try one of those clamp things that holds the vinyl down...

Does it make a huge amount of difference?

If the record has any warping
then yes it does as the arm and cart have to work far less hard to track it. The Michell, Clearaudio and SME ones are the best.

So...
...are they any good for jogging with? I reckon it'd look way cooler than ipod.

How do you burn to vinyl I wonder?

It scares me.
Putting a recond on my brother-in-law's gyrodec, with £400 of re-reshaping on the stylus, super virgin audiophile vinyl and a heavy clamp.
It was just a disaster waiting to happen...

Yours is nicely bolted to the wall I see?

It's me!
Well, I'm not your missus, clearly! But as a female I regularly berate my other half for present giving...

This Valentine's - an M&S (wooo) luxury hamper - box of chocs, roses, pink bubbly.

He got a card.

Don't feel alone, we all do it!
