This is a question Irrational Hatred

People who say "less" when they mean "fewer" ought to be turned into soup, the soup fed to baboons and the baboons fired into an active volcano. What has you grinding your teeth with rage, and why?

Layout of women's clothes shops
Christ almighty, trolling round after Mrs TitanLX looking at every flaming item in the store. Why can't they put all the tops in one place and trousers in another? The men’s department seem to manage it.

Also if a woman buys something without trying it on first it should be illegal to return the item.

iz you stupid?
they want you to see the trarsers and then see a nice top in a complementary colourway and buy both them bad boys. And if they can persuade you that you HAVE TO HAVE a belt/bag/scarf to go with them, then Satan's work is done.

I hate this too!
While they're moving them together for ease of finding what you want, can they change the sizes to measurements too?

I'm a size 12/14 in New Look and a size 8/10 in M&S. Eh?!

Because...
New Look feeds on self-loathing; Marks' customers prefer their egos massaged.

M&S also do a lovely range of hats....
I sound like a vicar's wife type lady. Sometimes I worry myself.

And why put the changing-rooms in the middle of the lingerie?
While Mrs Ugi tries on a load of stuff she won't buy, I have to hang around trying not to notice all the other women selecting their unmentionables. Why? What is the point in that?

Put the women's changing rooms next to the t-shirts and I might even buy something while I wait. Put it in the middle of a sea of teenage girls buying thongs and you just make me desperate to escape before I get arrested.

No! Please don't make her try everything on.
I really don't mind spending a little time shopping with the missus -- but I do hate standing in women's clothing shops waiting for her and trying to not look at anything or anyone.
I think girly shops ought to have a "boys corner" with a TV or consoles to play or something -- so that we don't have to feel awkward.

I have suggested this very thing.
So many times. Sort of like a creche, except for men instead of kids. Stick in an xbox, TV, and maybe a bar in the ones where our credit card is really going to take a hammering, and everyone will be far happier.

If you buy something without trying it on
you have no right to return it. Caveat emptor.

However most retailers allow you to out of goodwill.

You don't have a general right of return
Even if the mirror clearly lied to you, or you were drunk when you tried it on. Caveat emptor is not strictly the case, however- the sale of goods act (amongst others) means that you don't have to check that it's fake, or on fire, or whatever, and you have rights to return after the fact if you subsequently find out it is on fire, or fake, or slept with your mum (assuming it was sold as not trying to sleep with your mum) etc.

A better way to put it would be that if you buy something without trying it on first then you don't have any remedy for buyer's remorse (unless you bought it by mail order, in which case you can reject the goods for any reason you like).

I do apologise
For reading that as Mrs TitanXL and wondering what the clothes store looked like!

I'm sure she's not and I, for one, love clothes shopping with, or even for, Mrs Bleach. Very rewarding when I find something she wouldn't have looked at but looks great on her!
